The production intern will gain an understanding of the production process in producing traditional and non-traditional advertising content, including linear and streaming programming content for Disney Destination properties such as, Disney Parks, Resorts, Cruise line, Adventures By Disney and Disney Vacation Club. The intern will observe a number of functions within the production department and will gain exposure to the physical production environment and see how a production shoot is planned and organized, as well as be exposed to the post-production process to final delivery of a project. Responsibilities : Your Role Learn the overall production workflow. Assist in video pre-production, field production, and post-production. Research various topics to support content production. Organize data in Digital Asset Management system(s). Assist Production Management and Producers with scheduling, tracking and updating key project information. Assist in coordinating post-production efforts from editing and audio to compression and formatting. Basic Qualifications : Experience with cameras, audio and lighting equipment Familiarity with Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects applications. Proficient in Keynote and PowerPoint. Computer proficiency within a Windows & Mac environment Preferred Qualifications: Ability to collaborate with others, accept feedback, and enthusiastically perform a wide range of tasks. Detail-oriented, strong self-initiative and ability to prioritize responsibilities. High level of energy with strong desire to learn and grow. Creative problem solving ability. Must be an organized individual with ability to juggle multiple tasks and requests. Must be flexible with a willingness to take on tasks that cross multiple areas of production. Required Education : Junior, Senior or Graduate level student pursuing a degree in Film/TV/Content Development or New Media or a related field OR have graduated within 6 months of the start date of the internship. Preferred Education : The ideal candidate is someone interested in video production and interested in a production career path. Must possess unrestricted work authorization Must provide full work availability Must provide own transportation to/from work Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months) Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2019 through January 2020. Candidates must be fully available to work full time any time including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship.
