Bilingual Conversation Group and Marketing Intern (Chinese): Fall 2019 University of San Francisco, United States Updated: about 6 hours ago Location: San Francisco, CALIFORNIA Job Type: PartTime Job Title: Bilingual Conversation Group and Marketing Intern (Chinese): Fall 2019 Job Summary: The Center for Asia Pacific Studies is seeking an intern for its Chinese Conversation Group and Marketing section. Full Job Description: This position contains the following main areas: - Lead a Chinese conversation group: engage students, faculty, staff and members of the public in lively conversation in Chinese, improving understanding of Chinese culture and contemporary events. The conversation group takes place on Tuesdays from 11:45 a.m. -12:45 p.m. at the Main campus. (Please note this is not a language course, but meant to help participants (USF students, faculty, staff and the general public) maintain a level of at least basic fluency.) - Work with the centers staff to manage the centers social media and other marketing platforms to increase the visibility of the center. - General administrative support for the center as needed. Act as an ambassador for the center and help promote its programs. Ideal candidates must: Be a USF undergraduate or graduate student; Be a native speaker of Chinese; Be available on Tuesdays from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.; Be outgoing, energetic and eager to engage in conversation in a fun atmosphere; Be able to translate English to Chinese; Familiar with Social media platforms and marketing tools; Interested in Asian Cultures Be able to work in the centers office at the main campus at least 1 hour per week during the centers regular office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please send a brief cover letter and resume to centerasiapacific@usfca.edu.
