As Engineering Intern, you will be assigned to help review and evaluate engineering project documentation for Greenroads projects as part of our internationally recognized Project Rating Program. Critical Responsibilities Evaluation of projects pursuing certification for the Project Rating Program Data collection and analysis for the Project Rating Program Maintaining and managing the project data portfolios on the Greenroads Website. Supporting technical requests from Project teams as needed Developing informative summaries, visualizations, and slide presentations for the public Support proof of concept development for new versions of the Greenroads Rating System Performing other projects as assigned. Must-Haves Participating in an accredited engineering program in civil engineering at the senior or graduate level. Studies in urban planning, environmental sciences, construction management, or other built environment related coursework will be considered. Enjoys poking around on the internet Loves slicing and dicing data Experience with information gathering and research Great at analyzing and synthesizing information Logical and organized Excellent written communication and mathematical skills Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel or similar) Comfortable with technology and databases Comfortable with HTML programming Professional and positive attitude Nice-to-Haves Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate Sustainable Transportation Professional (STP) Level 1 accreditation Experience reading engineering plans and specifications Technology support or customer relations experience Construction estimating and scheduling Non-profit experience Proactive, sense of ownership, can work independently and self-sufficiently Supervision You will report directly to the CEO. You will interact and cooperate directly with past and current Project Teams and our website developers. This position does not have direct reports. Working Conditions Open-plan desk in a collaborative space with lots of windows Dog-friendly, with two resident canines for comic relief and exercise in nearby Marymoor Park We are currently located on the 2nd floor of a building with no elevator and up a flight of 24 stairs.
