Edelman Austins intern program is a full-time for up to 6 months. This will be a paid internship open to recent graduates, designed to propel your career into the ever-changing arena of communications marketing! Please note, applicants must be available to work a full-time schedule by May/June 2019. Responsibilities: Basic understanding of the principles and interest in of digital marketing, social media and public relations Positive, collaborative attitude Strong organizational, scheduling, and time/project management skills; possess the ability to multiple deadlines simultaneously Assist with monitoring client social channels Contribute to the ongoing development of social content calendars and assist with ideation and research for content Support supervisors with account management for designated clients Work closely with supervisors to develop weekly and monthly digital reports (pulling data and developing insights) Support market research and digital audits for existing clients and new business opportunities Research and update influencer lists About our internship program: Interns are paid $13.00 an hour and are eligible for overtime when approved by a supervisor Our interns are post-graduates and work a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week) for up to 6 months, starting by May/June 2019 Edelman does not provide any form of housing or transportation reimbursement Please note only individuals who are authorized to work in the United States will be considered The intern must be able to work effectively with a variety of account service staff within a specific set of accounts. S/he must have good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines. S/he must have solid knowledge of MS Office Suite and superior verbal and written communication skills. The Intern is generally someone who has recently graduated with a Bachelors degree and is looking for entry-level experience in Public Relations. S/he must demonstrate the ability to become a strong writer. Familiarity with the Public Relations discipline through past coursework or other internships is desirable. Basic Qualifications: Intern candidates must have interest in the public relations field and possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
