The Bel-Air Bay Club has earned the prestigious Distinguished Emerald Club Award from the Distinguished Clubs of the World award program and is recognized as providing an experience found only at the finest clubs. Our newest team member will enjoy the stability of a long established organization while also enjoying unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean. The Bel-Air Bay Club is located in Los Angeles, in the city of Pacific Palisades. *SUMMARY *We are seeking an energetic and sharp individual to join the Lower Club Catering and Events team as a seasonal summer intern. You would be responsible for the administration work, management of new files, floor plan creation, reservations, and various projects as requested, for the Lower Club Catering and Events team. This is a non-paid position for academic credit. There is an opportunity to earn a bonus at the end of the Internship. Lunch daily will be provided by the Club. Learn and work in a beautiful atmosphere for educational credit! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Floor Plan creation * New File creation * Banquet Event Order creation * BEO updates * File close-outs * Club Event check-in * Accompany Event Manager in Clients Details meetings * Special projects to be assigned Qualifications: * Active in an accredited University setting * Excellent language and communication skills * Excellent customer service/client services skills * Collaborative team player * Professional appearance and demeanor * Time-management skills * Multi-tasker * Detail focused Physical Demands * Able to sit and stand and walk for long hours, bending, lifting and reaching over. * Ability to use hands, fingers, handles or feel objects, tools or controls. * Ability to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk and hear. * Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. * Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. * Satisfactory auditory abilities are required. Environmental Factors * The employee is exposed to normal working conditions in an indoor office environment. WORK HOURS The Internship is part-time or full-time as arranged with the school and student. Some weekends will be required for event experience.
