Our DevOps Engineering Interns will get to work on exciting projects that will be transforming the businesses of customers big and small. This is a potential intern to hire opportunity. PROGRAM DETAILS * You will work full or part-time in our Oakland, CA office during the program * You will work with the Vidado DevOps engineering team and be assigned a mentor * You will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact and learn state of the art DevOps skills * This will be a paid internship program * Opportunity to be hired for the full-time position RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with the DevOps team on critical infrastructure, release management, and internal tools projects * Write, test, and document fast and robust software that has the potential to impact large and small customers and solve real-world problems. You will make an immediate impact. * Building creative timesaving tools for internal clients. We're actively improving our reports and tools to help everyone else in the company be very productive. * Working with a wide variety of technology stack (Python, Django, SQL & NoSQL databases) in the cloud. * Manage and potentially own some or the daily operational tasks for the engineering team QUALIFICATIONS * Must be currently enrolled in a four-year program pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field. * Familiarity with Python * You enjoy learning and take pride in what you build * Solid understanding of Linux basics * Eager to learn and implement new technologies * Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Commitment to quality * Excellent communication skills * Able to work in our Oakland, California office. DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED * Familiarity with AWS or GCP * Familiarity with Ansible or other configuration management frameworks * Familiarity with Linux sys-admin tasks * Familiarity with advanced Unix shell scripting
