Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is a seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern. This position will be located in Herndon, VA. Roles and Responsibilities The Talent Acquisition intern will assist across a variety of TA resource functional areas including referral programs, candidate sourcing and screening, employee onboarding, metrics/reporting, training and development, and policies and procedures. The selected candidate will participate in Recruiting and Human Resources project initiatives, interact with different levels within the company and thus must have a high level of integrity for collecting and compiling sensitive and confidential information to prepare reports, and performing other tasks as needed. Interest in growing and developing in the Talent Acquisition field is a plus. Additional Duties: Primarily facilitate the Employee Referral Award Program (ERAP) Assist in hiring process from beginning to end Learn to manage our applicant tracking system to help filter, screen and set up interviews with candidates Assist with job fairs, invitational events, etc. Assist with internal and external communication efforts in various format (Print, Email, Text, Web Page, etc). Respond to ad hoc requests to support Northrop Grummans recruiting efforts Qualifications Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2019 Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile) Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2019 Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or Communications Academic major or coursework in business or human resource management 3.7 cumulative GPA Previous work experience in TA/HR environment/department Previous exposure and experience with the core functions within Talent Acquisition such as recruiting, training and development, and policy compliance (coursework, previous internships or project experience Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
