Primary Responsibilities Picture yourself at HDR. We offer vast opportunities for an aspiring marketing and communications professional. Our teams design solutions to some of the worlds greatest challenges in areas like water, energy, transportation, education, healthcare and research. To support these efforts, our Marketing Services department engages in campaigns and events, graphic design and digital media, web development, pursuit management, systems and reports and training. For the intern position, we want somebody skilled in technical writing, layout design and/or graphic design. You must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team to complete tasks. Strong organization and time management are required. Primary duties include layout of qualification and proposal packages in Adobe InDesign, coordination of marketing materials, and development of graphic concepts. Additional work includes development of videos, presentations, brochures, announcements and reports. Qualifications Required Qualifications Education: Currently enrolled (junior-senior undergraduate or graduate student) and majoring in marketing, journalism, advertising, business or English Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Pro; Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator strongly preferred; Experience with web design and video editing a plus Ability to work on complex and multipart projects Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams Understanding of graphic design principles Preferred Qualifications Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA Preference given to local candidates Why HDR At HDR, we know work isnt only about who you work for; its also about what you do and how you do it.
