Job Purpose The manufacturing engineer intern will support and develop improvements to production workstation efficiencies; support and lead various process improvement projects; support and develop uses of manufacturing data systems to drive improvements; and support manufacturings environment safety and health compliance systems. This position is being offered in either a temporary internship role with a minimum commitment of 3 months required full time; or as an open-ended part time position, with a weekly availability that is flexible from 15 30 hours per week. Requirements Have completed or in process of completing a B.S. degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial technology or equivalent. The successful candidate will possess the following: * Understanding of database functionality and application development. Skilled in MS Office including MS Access or equivalent. * Experience or interest in working in a manufacturing office environment. * High energy and internal drive * Excellent PC skills, significant Outlook, Excel and Word experience, skill to do internet research, knowledge and skill with relational database applications. * Ability to learn, adapt, and multitask in a high-paced but rewarding environment * Positive and effective communication skills, including technical writing. * Exceptional focus on detail and accuracy * Solid problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour
