By joining EDF as a Yawkey Fellow, you too can be part of a vibrant workplace that welcomes diverse perspectives, talents and contributions, where innovation and a focus on results are a way of life. EDF's Internship Program welcomes intellectually hungry leaders to join us, advance our work, and cultivate the skills and relationships needed for a successful career working for the environment. Alumni of our Internship Program have gone on to important leadership positions, most notably our own President, Fred Krupp. Could you be the next Fred Krupp? EDF offers internships and fellowships for students and recent graduates in a variety of programs and departments throughout the organization. The ultimate goal of our internship and fellowship program is to provide high-quality experiences (including relevant projects and opportunities for networking) that form the foundation for any individual who is serious about pursuing an environmental career. EDF+Business Overview EDF pioneered the corporate partnership model and has proven its worth with measurable financial and environmental results across industries and business disciplines. We challenge businesses across the globe to take bold moves to adopt green practices and technologies that transform industries and improve the bottom line. Our partnerships achieve aggressive environmental goals - and set new industry standards. To multiply the benefits, we widely publicize the innovations, motivating competing companies to reach and exceed these new standards. Current projects include transforming the retail marketplace with Walmart, transitioning to a new low-carbon energy future with the natural gas industry, accelerating the adoption of energy efficiency through our Climate Corps program, reducing tropical deforestation through commodity supply chains, and accelerating the ow of private capital toward clean energy and other key emerging environmental asset classes. Overall Function This year's fellow will play an integral role within an exciting and cross-programmatic team composed of EDF+Business, Clean Energy, and Political Affairs staff. As part of this team, the Fellow will have the opportunity to provide key research, analysis and relationship building with essential players (e.g., clean energy developers, corporate purchasers of clean energy, investors, etc.) necessary to shape influential reports, pilot projects and campaigns that have meaningful, on-the-ground impacts. The Fellow will also be playing a key role in developing communications materials to ensure that results are applied and heard across diverse audiences. Beyond this work, the Fellow will have the additional opportunity to interact with other parts of the organization in supporting EDF+Business to execute upon EDF's broader clean energy finance strategy, with a particular focus on electrifying buildings and the transportation system. As part of his or her role within this team, the Fellow may liaise with additional finance leads in other programs beyond Clean Energy (e.g., Oceans, Ecosystems and Health) to integrate and leverage what is being learned in finance-related initiatives occurring throughout the organization, including helping to map and support key EDF relationships with the larger finance community.
