POSITION SUMMARY The HR/ Recruiting Intern will work side by side with the HR Advisor for 10-12 weeks over the summer. The HR Intern will assist with staffing the District and will work closely with the Store Managers, District Managers and Recruiters to ensure all company and government guidelines are being followed at the store and during the hiring process. Candidates must have reliable transportation. RESPONSIBILITIES The HR Intern will shadow and assist HR Advisor on everyday tasks. HR Intern also helps Recruiters as necessary and may help cover Recruiter vacations. * Assists HR Advisor in developing plans/programs that will provide adequate staffing for all stores within the area. Specifically, the HR Intern will * Source and encourages potential candidates to apply through online job boards. * Research opportunities to establish relationships with potential candidates to create a talent pipeline for various retail positions. * Conduct initial interviews with candidates via telephone. * Coordinate/schedule in-person interviews with Store Managers and/or District Managers. * Contact references and complete background checks. * Assists in internal investigations, terminations, and disciplinary actions. * Completes database management, recording recruitment staffing performance that can be used to analyze/determine placement rates, turnover, compliance and areas for improvement. * Represents company with outside employment agencies, job fairs, employment conferences, colleges and social media contacts. * Ensures proper execution and following of established program, company, and government guidelines at the store and during the hiring process. * Performs other duties as needed, including special projects assigned by HR Advisor. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Enrolled as a student earning a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related major. * Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Minimum Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS * Experience with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications * Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues * Ability to make day to day decisions, including personnel decisions, with little to no immediate supervision * Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; must have a sense of urgency to be successful + Show Full Description This job is not relevant Tell us why
