PURPOSE STATEMENT The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Intern will develop an understanding of Rich Products Corporation's Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory departments and programs through a structured development program. Interns also gain exposures to educate themselves on the overall Rich Products Corporation business and marketplace. The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Intern will provide support to the Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Department through various projects and initiatives. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES Candidates will concentrate most of their internship program in an office setting at our world headquarters office. Core competencies to be developed are an understanding of Rich Products Corporation Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs primarily supporting external suppliers Areas of exposure may include, but are not limited to: Compile and analyze data on food safety and quality metrics. Provide conclusions and reporting. Request and review food safety documentation from suppliers and contract manufacturers. Follow up by phone or email to request clarification or additional information. Participate in special projects as required. Regularly participate in team meetings. Review and compare raw material specifications for compliance to business needs. Perform administrative support as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Enrollment in an Associates, Bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited university pursuing a degree in food science, biology, chemistry, microbiology or related program.
