Manufacturing Operations is looking for bright students who are motivated to learn and build upon their real-world skills in a manufacturing setting. The selected individual will be a hands-on contributor within the CooperSurgical Manufacturing Department. The Intern will collaborate with Production Supervisors, Quality Engineers, Supply Chain Specialists, Value Stream Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and the Production Associates within the Operations team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supporting the execution and continuous improvement of Operating System. The intern will learn the problem solving methodology and look for opportunities to train and mentor associates on its use. In addition, working with the Production Supervisors to implement solutions to improve the organization and consistency of daily restoration. Supporting the execution and continuous improvement of the production training program. Assisting in completion of documentation, improved utilization of the Train the Trainer methodology and continuous improvement of the execution of the training program. Driving improvements to operational productivity levels. Analyze productivity from time and attendance system to assist supervisor and drive associate accountability Qualifications Special knowledge, skills and abilities required: Creative problem solving skills Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate across organizational levels. General Understanding of Operations Change management skills Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Education and Experience Incumbent must be actively pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field and have junior status or higher status.
