Description: -Provides customer specific training to dealership technicians in the following areas: Late model electronics, powertrain, OEM scan tools, engine, passive restraint system, auto/manual transmission, pre-delivery inspection, steering/suspension, basic electrical, engine performance, basic fuel injection, AC, antilock brakes and other areas as expertise grows. -Manage training schedule. Deliver instructor-led technical training courses to Client Dealer and Fleet Technicians, corporate personnel at Client Technical Training Centers and mobile locations -Prepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all Skill Areas -Manage individual course registration and roster processing - Maintain the operational integrity of training vehicles for classroom activities -Utilize all available Client resources to maintain the highest level of technical proficiency -Assist with the organization and functionality of special tools, hand tools, classrooms for usage, course hardware and components, Diagnosis equipment and software updates -Monitor and maintain seat fill - Provide feedback to Training Development Team -Support Course Development Team if/when required -Coordinate new model launch training together with Business Center needs -Analyze data and communicate with BC and dealers on the specific training required for each dealer to complete "Dealer Standards ". -Monitor progress towards Dealer Standards and coordinate course offerings with dealer needs. Follow-up with dealers to ensure attendance at necessary courses -Council with new Service Managers to help them understand and utilize technical training for the benefit of the dealership - Conduct (as needed) Curriculum Planning Meeting with all Service Managers Requirements: -The Technical Training Apprentice will cross-train to deliver instructor-led Technical Training courses to CLIENT Dealership and Fleet Technicians, as well as Corporate Personnel. -The home location while under the Apprentice program will be the National Tech Training Center in Auburn Hills Mi. -While under the program, travel will be required to support needs at all the training centers in the U.S. along with mobile training support. -The Apprentice will prepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency in all skill areas. The Apprentice will maintain training vehicles, specialty tools, hand tools, classrooms, course hardware, components, and diagnostic equipment. -This position will also assist in all phases of the curriculum development process. -Additionally, the Apprentice will learn to manage individual course registration, roster processing and how to advise dealers and fleets on training needs. -In this position, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in various cross-functional areas within the company. -The Technical Training Apprenticeship will prepare you for one of the contract positions in the field as a Technical Trainer. -Once prepared and the skill set is identified for a specific market, the candidate will be notified of the open position and will have 15 days to accept the move to the open position. -If the candidate accepts the position, CLIENT will provide up to $1500 move allowance and the move must be completed within 60 days from acceptance. -If the candidate chooses not to accept the position, they understand that this will be considered their resignation from the CLIENT Apprentice program.
