We are at the crossroads of tradition and innovation and focused on bringing the culture of our Jewish community to the forefront through innovative programs and education. The intern will help implement and maintain communications and social media strategies for specific assigned projects. This internship is a unique opportunity for a current multimedia and communications student to have hands-on professional experience. We offer rewarding challenges in a fast-paced and unique environment. This internship runs from June 1 to September 30. The internship hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday (with a daily hour lunch break). Internships are for College Credit and are paid by honorarium. Housing and transportation costs are the responsibility of the intern. Requirements: * Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Design, Marketing, Communications or a related field * Strong graphic design skills, digital media design experience a plus * Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design) * Prior experience with Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact and Data Base Applications, and Form Creator Applications * Mac Platform experience preferred * Must have artistic, typographic, and layout skills * Excellent organizational and communication skills * Able to work well in a team environment or independently * Good time management and efficiency of completing assigned tasks * Able to work under tight deadlines with the capacity to take direction * Understanding of brand appropriate design styles and ability to evolve design standards as needed * Must demonstrate creative approach and style without compromising flow of information * Good command of the English language * Prior experience writing press releases/Instagram posts is a plus * Prior experience managing websites is a plus * Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the head of communications the intern will: * Help Temple Isaiah understand various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to create a better overall social media presence * Assist in the implementation of: social media (stories, post graphics etc..), weekly promotional emails, websites; banners, etc. for various divisions * Touch-up/edit graphics and images required for content * Aid in the strategic development, maintenance and on-going optimization of Temple Isaiahs website * Assist with and execute marketing protocols, including calendaring, marketing requests and form creation * Assist with Video and Audio maintenance, including website updates, archiving, social media posts and weekly newsletter (Audio and Video editing experience a plus) Job Types: Part-time, Internship Work Location: * One location Working days: * Monday * Tuesday * Wednesday * Thursday * Friday Typical start time: * 10AM Typical end time: * 4PM
