This is a part-time, temporary internship or practicum opportunity in the Program for Patient Safety and Quality. Each semester, the Program for Patient Safety and Quality at Boston Childrens Hospital offers an exciting learning opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in a career in quality improvement or healthcare administration. The intern or practicum student will be precepted by a staff member who will be responsible for providing the student with a broad range of learning opportunities depending on priorities of the Program, as well as the students own professional interests. This Intern will be responsible for: Gaining exposure to the multifaceted operations of a critical program within a large academic medical center in the Boston area. Administrative tasks as assigned/needed Engaging in a combination of observational and project-based work while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced healthcare professionals. To qualify, you must have: Be enrolled in or graduated from a BS or MS program in health care policy, administration, or similar major. Have the desire to work for the Program for Patient Safety and Quality. Healthcare and administrative experience are highly desired.
