Be a part of an innovative team and culture Collaborating across all segments of the Walt Disney Company, the Service Availability team seeks to minimize risk of technology impacts and business service impairments. Through data analysis and HyperCare planning, the team develops comprehensive communication strategies for technology services and in support of major business events. Responsibilities : A Day in the Life The Service Availability Communications Analyst will dive deep into the Enterprise Technology HyperCare program. Ride side-car on some of the biggest projects at Disney (movie releases, theme park tests, application deployments, etc.) and aid in developing a comprehensive knowledge repository and communications program for the HyperCare service. Leverage your project management skills, communication talent, and creativity to help the HyperCare program. Participate in HyperCare planning for major business events and technology deployments Participate in technology Service Health data analysis, and visualization Build a knowledge base of supporting documentation on the HyperCare process Create training videos of the HyperCare program Basic Qualifications : What we are looking for (Basic Qualifications) Proven writing experience in a professional or academic environment. Skilled in verbal, digital presentation, and written communication. Proven experience with video capture and editing; experience with creative suite Basic understanding of technology services (Application, Cloud, Network, Hosting, etc). Ability to use MS Office programs Comfortable introducing new thinking and concepts to projects Ability to interact with all levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in communications Experience with IT Service Management tools and concepts Passion and understanding for the field of Technology; interest working in an IT environment Experience with analytics or metrics software, such as Tableau, is an asset Required Education : Required Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program Communications; Computer Science; Information Systems; Technical Writing; Data Science Additional Information : Additional Details: The approximate dates of this internship are August/September 2019 through January 2020. Candidate must be available to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship Must be at least 18 years of age Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program Must possess unrestricted work authorization Housing: A limited amount of housing is available on a first come, first served basis. Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
