Special Events Intern Jose - Dallas, TX 43 minutes agoPart-time Apply Now About Jose: Jos� is a Guadalajaran inspired restaurant in the family-friendly Lovers/Inwood neighborhood, serving contemporary Mexican-inspired cuisine, with a focus on Jalisco style dishes. Job Responsibilities: * Assist in the pre-planning, onsite operations and event process * Answer incoming calls, emails and assist in answering inquiries about special / private events * Schedule meetings and appointments to see the Restaurant Space * Create printed menus for events (if needed) * Assist in creating proposals & Banquet Event Order for events and distribute to all managers within a timely manner * Assist with meeting guests on event days and help on-site staff with the set-up of events * Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and guests * Participate in team meetings, events and training * Other projects and responsibilities may be assigned All items listed above will be overseen and coordinated with / by the Event Manager. Qualifications: * Skills in oral and written communication * Ability to work independently * Ability to analyze problems and develop a course of action * Self-motivated and able to exercise initiative * Previous experience in event management or hospitality is preferred, but not required * Fluent in English; Spanish as second language preferred * A valid drivers license * Must have a basic knowledge of Word, Excel * Must be responsive and punctual * Must be able to manage a flexible, part-time schedule and work remotely * May work long hours when setting up or coordinating events This position has the ability to work remotely; we do have an office space on Lovers / Tollway that you are free to work out of whenever you'd like.
