Intertek Carnot Emission Services, a leading supplier of testing services for the SORE, LSI , stationary, marine, and nonroad CI industries, is seeking to fill an intern position in the engine emissions laboratory. In addition, Intertek Carnot Emission Services conducts testing on electric motors, generators, gear pumps and other rotational equipment. The candidate will assist engineering staff in the execution of client testing programs. Expected job schedule: Monday - Friday 20 hours per week Duties: Work with engineers and production staff to plan and complete engine installations. Assist with test cell data collection, analysis, and review. Help prepare final reports that summarize test programs. Help manage and improve data acquisition and control automation systems. Work with other departments, as needed, to achieve test project goals. Perform other duties as required. To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Companys Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Must be working towards obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A high degree of mechanical aptitude is ideal. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Must demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
