This job brought to you by eQuest Type: Full-Time Location : St. Louis, Missouri Job Description: Position Summary: The intern will be exposed to and provide support to all functional areas of the PBS Procurement shared service model, including: Master Data Management, MPA Administration, Outline Agreements, Workflow, Purchase Order (PO) Creation and Bid/Buy. Duties may be both project oriented as well as daily operational responsibilities. Peabody utilizes SAP as its enterprise software and the successful candidate will be provided an opportunity to acquire hands on experience with this application. Principal Accountabilities: The intern will be exposed to and provide support to all functional areas of the PBS Procurement shared service model, including: Master Data Management, MPA Administration, Outline Agreements, Workflow, Purchase Order (PO) Creation and Bid/Buy Potential duties in the PO Creation functional area include: (1) Communication with site regarding their procurement requirements; (2) Communication with vendors for product pricing, order delivery status or availability of materials; (3) Closure of obsolete purchase orders; (4) Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) PO Creation; and (5) Backorder management Potential duties in the Materials Management functional area include: (1) New material setup and verification ; (2) Catalog maintenance and cleanup; (3) Inactive materials purge; (4) Hazardous material management; and (5) Manufacturer reviews and clean up Potential duties in the Materials Management functional area include: (1) Verification of bank changes; (2) Vendor Catalog clean up; (3) Identification of duplicate vendors; and (4) Identification and tracking of Minority or Woman Owned Vendors Requirements: Education: Undergraduate junior or senior status. Preferred majors: Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Computer Information Systems, and Information Technology. All majors will be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Proficiency in data analysis Customer service focus and orientation Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) SAP Ability to learn SAP and other software Work Schedule: This position primarily supports the Australian operations from St. Louis. The intern will work a 20-24 hour work week, 3-5 days per week as agreed between Sunday Thursday with times to be coordinated with supervisor from 2:30 pm.-1:30 am. Duration of the internship is expected to be 14-16 weeks as agreed upon. Pay rate of $18/hour. This is an on-going internship that will continue into Summer/Fall 2019.
