The Field Clinical Specialist Internship Program is designed to ready promising talent for a career as a Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) with BIOTRONIK. The FCS Intern works directly in clinical operating rooms and is responsible for providing technical and educational support to physicians, patients, and sales representatives within a defined geographical region in order to meet bradycardia and tachycardia sales and customer service objectives. The FCS Intern acts as the technical support person for BIOTRONIK sales representatives and is responsible for covering all bradycardia and tachycardia product segments. The FCS Intern professionally represents BIOTRONIK and provides education, implantation services, follow-up services, in-service training, and other related services as necessary to physicians and patients in clinical settings, as well as to the sales force and other cardiac pacing-related professionals. The FCS Internship is a year long and prepares Interns for an easy transition to becoming a Field Clinical Specialist at the end of the program. Therefore, the position is open to Biomedical Engineering students who are graduating and ready for a full-time job. FCS Interns are salaried employees with full BIOTRONIK benefits, and are located throughout the US. Willingness to relocate is a plus, as there are opportunities in New York and New Jersey. Your Responsibilities Requirements: Represents BIOTRONIK during surgeries and implants of products to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance. Provides technical support with device reprogramming and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics. Receives technical inquiries by telephone. Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and pacing. Completes necessary documentation (e.g., implant registration) and phone calls (customer service). Updates sales representatives concerning cases. Immediately notifies representatives regarding issues or problems requiring follow-ups. Serves as effective BIOTRONIK representative to physicians and support staff regarding products, service and support. Manages inventories and provides support with rotation and delivery to optimize customer service and efficiency. Performs other related duties as assigned. Travel : Must have a valid driver license and active vehicle insurance policy. Ability to travel extensively with ease Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory. FCS Interns may be required to travel and provide implant support anywhere within the Regional Sales Manager/Directors defined sales territory. Out of town travel is expected to be no more than 30%. Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Additional requirements: Continuous verbal and written communication. Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse.
