The Personnel Modernization (PersMod)program is seeking an Intern to join their team in new Orleans, LA. General Description: GDIT is looking for an intern with knowledge in software design, coding and debugging. Experience gained in the classroom and through personal application will be accepted. The internship candidate should have a student-level background in software development sufficient to understand basic object-oriented programming techniques. The candidate should possess an understanding of Relational Database design and the SQL language. During the internship, the intern is expected to gain exposure to developing software for the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) and to do so within the structured development methodology used on the project. Responsibilities: Documentation and testing new software applications Debugging current software issues Develop applications (coding, programming) Requirements: Applicants should have excellent analytical and math skills, with the ability to work in teams. We are looking for students majoring in Computer Science.
