Job Description Responsibilities will include manage projects related to Purchasing based upon department need and individual capabilities, Support purchasing projects related to cost reductions or other continuous improvement efforts, Support strategic and technical purchasing on individual projects, Support senior procurement staff with the completion of projects, Create purchasing reports utilizing MS Office tools, OAC and Oracle. In addition the intern will need to develop a sufficient understanding of the new Oracle Financial system, and Concur travel and expense system. Accuracy is critical for this position as well as an attention to detail. Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at KU. Currently enrolled in the KU School of Business. Prior knowledge of business office operations and office equipment (i.e. fax, copier, PC experience) as evidenced in application materials. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Outlook and MS Office suite software (Excel, Word, & Visio, specifically) as evidenced in application materials. Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently and on schedule as demonstrated by application materials. Strong attention to detail.
