Job is a temporary part-time position. Tasks: Assist Production team with marketing campaigns Assist Personal Lines, Commercial Lines and Benefits departments with gathering necessary underwriting information Shadow Production team on New and Renewal sales calls Attend social/community events when applicable Understand all departments of MBAH Insurance Agency Expectations: Learn what Products agency markets and sells Learn basic insurance terms and practices Apply and develop communication skills by interacting with co-workers, potential clients and company representatives Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in college Must have a desire to learn more about the Independent Insurance agency industry Customer/Co-Worker Relations: Work courteously with other Agency employees. Perform all actions relating to the public, customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving errors and omissions. Knowledge: Agency procedures and Employee Handbook. Agencys automation & management system. State insurance laws. 1. Perform needed tasks efficiently with current computer technology.3. Resolve conflict with minimum negative impact on all parties.5. Use office machines (multi-line telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.) for daily tasks. 1. High school diploma is required.3. Knowledge of commercial, personal and Life & Benefits insurance products is preferred.Working Conditions / Physical Demands: data entry at a proficient rate.3. Move about the Agency to meet with customers and co-workers, and to access filing cabinets & other office equipment located throughout the Agency. 2.
