Public Relations Intern Consumer Technology Association - Arlington, VA5.0 4 hours agoFull-time$15 an hour Apply Now Skills * Public Relations * Journalism * Microsoft Office Start Date: June 2019 End Date: May 2020 Basic Function of the Position: Supports the Event Communications team in their public relations efforts around all CTA events, including CES, CES Asia, CES Unveiled Events in New York, Las Vegas, and abroad, and media tours around the world. Critical Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop briefing books to support CTA events, executive interviews and media tours * Logistics surrounding the international scholarship journalist programs for CES, CES Asia and Unveiled events * Support Media Partnership program for CES and CES Asia * Exhibitor PR campaign support, including newsletter copy and support of CES Media Days * Draft and update website copy for Media Centers * Develop targeted media lists for events * Assist with applying for and tracking CTA awards * Media monitoring and reporting for events * Edit and draft media materials as appropriate * Perform other communications and logistical duties as required by business needs Work Experience: * Prior public relations/communications/journalism experience required. * Microsoft Office and internet experience required. * Excellent writing skills required. * Individual supports several staff and must have the ability to prioritize projects. Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Some overtime and travel to CES may be required. * Must be available to work during December holidays. * Must work full-time, Monday through Friday through mid-January. * Hourly wage: $15.00/hour
