Job Description As an engineering intern, you will have an opportunity to work in your field of engineering. While at NAS, you will be exposed to product development, cross functional business groups, and best engineering practices. A mentor will be assigned to you to help with learning activities and career expectations. You will get to experience engineering in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will participate in an engineering team that supports everyday production on-site and customer needs. Each engineering team has new product development and process improvement efforts. Designs are created on CAD tools with simulation in more specific software. Rapid prototyping methods are part of our launch process. Product development may include testing, production launch, and customer installation. Your education will be utilized for developing products to meet performance, production, and customer expectations. You will develop skills important to your career. Projects may be tailored to support your engineering program. Other position details: Under technical guidance and supervision, develop designs to meet customer specifications for multiple projects and priorities. Perform work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may include a variety of complex features, system interactions, and unique materials. Follow company policies, new product development processes, and design guidelines. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters Degree electrical engineering program. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Motivated, creative, and enthusiastic to learn.
