(LSI) is looking for an Engineering Student for a summer 2019 Internship at our Lebanon facility. This internship will support the Mechanical Engineering department of our light industrial aerospace lighting manufacturing facility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate performance of lamp products manufactured using variable constructions. Create manufacturing and test plans related to the samples. Measure lighting output using photometric equipment. Tabulate and graphically present results. Document existing tooling. Identify tooling and develop cross-reference matrix to finished product. Create drawings providing configuration control of the tooling. Other projects as needed by the engineering department. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Pursuit of Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering or in a related technical and/or equivalent field; Familiarity and/or experience working with a 3D CAD package (preferably SolidWorks); and experience with Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will also possess experience working in the aviation/aerospace industry working with and developing electromechanical systems.
