The pay is $10 per hour for 40 hours per week. Job Title: Computer Technician Intern Department: Technology Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary Grade: $10 per hour Calendar: Temporary Summer Position Note: Critical features of this job are described under the headings below. POSITION SUMMARY (Primary purpose of job) Computer Technicians are responsible for equipment operations such as deployment, collection, and repairs. This includes building and department collaboration efforts to gather information and assist in plan development for upgrades and efficiency. Interns will be assisting the Technology Department in this work over the summer. SPHERE AND SCOPE OF INFLUENCE (Supervisory scope, district impact and budgetary responsibility) Computer Technician Interns will assist Technicians responsible for a large amount of District technology inventory including software, equipment, and fiber maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Major duties which the position exists to perform) 1. Assist with deploying, evaluating, diagnosing, and performing maintenance on District technology equipment. 2. Assist with operating various computer equipment, software, and peripheral devices such as printers, phone systems, surveillance systems, etc. to address issues. 3. Actively engage as a member of team in order to advance the vision and mission of the District. 4. Participate in a help-desk system in order to efficiently operate and manage District technology needs and activities. 5. Other duties as directed by the supervisor. OTHER DUTIES (duties which the incumbent can be expected to perform) 1. Additional duties may include extended hours or hours outside of typical business hours related to a special project, need, or high volume time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None required QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum educational requirements, licenses, skills and experience required as well as preferred options) Experience with computer operations.
