The duties include are designing the software, writing code, testing all the modules, and documenting the code and writing "how to" manuals for application developed. The Controls Software Intern will work closely with the Senior Design Engineer and Controls engineers to develop software applications which will act as efficiency tools for the engineers in development phase of the project. The Controls Software Intern reports directly to the Controls Engineering Manager. General Duties: Work closely with BC controls engineer to understand the design and coding requirements. Lead all phases of the software development and implementation of the project Must have great communication skills. This will be paramount in internal communication as well as discussions with other engineers and Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to execute schedules, keep on track with milestones Maintain a consistently positive, enthusiastic attitude! Keep an open mind; be creative with concepts. Encourage entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among others. Anticipate problems and be able to proactively act rather than react. Maintain office area clean and organized. Complete all administrative tasks/paperwork in a timely manner. Works well with engineering and manufacturing teams. Pitch's in where needed. Superior Performance Objectives: Ability to read schematics/electrical prints Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude Strong ability to interact with computers Strong Programmer with good understanding Object oriented programming. A basic understanding of programming. Ability to work individually or as part of a team Energetic ambitious and hard working Optimistic and efficient Highly organized with strong communication skills Requirements: Currently pursuing Bachelor degree in Computer engineering or computer science. Strong troubleshooting skills Strong Programming skills.
