Current investors include Rho Acceleration, Cox Media Group, Allen & Company, Progress Ventures, and American Public Media Group.The Professional Services Manager will work with their Associate Director to manage the content strategy and day-to-day execution for several client programs. Working alongside Skyword Digital Producers and Creative Strategists,the Creative Desk Intern will gain experience in video and audio production, graphic design, and storytelling. The Creative Desk and Creative Strategists work alongside Skyword's clients to ensure that creative vision is clear, and that all final assets meet the highest technical and creative standards. It is our mission to work with creatives and clients to tell great stories that move people. The Position The Creative Desk Intern will work with Skyword Digital Producers and Creative Strategists in the Creative Operations Center of Excellent in Skyword's Boston office. They will support the production of enhanced content assets including video, graphic design, podcasts, and more. Under the supervision of a Digital Producer or Senior Digital Producer, the intern will help develop project budgets and timelines, assist with project tracking and workflow, coordinate directly with creative freelancers during the production of these assets, and will be responsible for ensuring their technical and creative quality. They will be exposed to all aspect of production for various media types. In addition, the Creative Desk intern will work with Creative Strategists to write and refine creative briefs, assist in designing and hosting creative brainstorms, and help develop concept pitches to sell in new ideas to customers. They will also have the opportunity to work daily in the Skyword360 content creation platform to build their familiarity with digital publishing, and content production. Our 6-month paid internships are open to recent grads, rising seniors and master's students and are scheduled for a minimum of 24 hours per week. Our interns are involved in extensive training and development. Our interns work directly on digital production projects guided by senior team members. Our interns will be eager to take on unique and complex creative projects, and will be ready with well-considered solutions to creative challenges. Our interns are energetic, ambitious, creative, and positive in the face of changing circumstances. Our interns will have the opportunity to interview for full-time positions following the completion of their 6-month internship period. Desired Skills/Experiences/Qualities Current enrollment in an accredited college or university at the bachelor's level with major coursework in communications, marketing, video production, graphic design, audio production, or a related field Some digital production background, including a strong portfolio of work to which they have contributed Exceptional organizational and time management skills Strong written and oral communication skills Candidates must be available to work out of our Washington DC office for at least 24 business hours per week
