Work involves providing direct customer support for agency visitors to the IT area within the Nacogdoches Complex and assist customers with loaner equipment check outs and returns as well as answer general IT-related questions. Provides assistance in the completion of IT assignments to SO/R00 which will include working within all components of the MS Office Suite. Assists in document creation and or revision for unit policies and procedures as well as test other IT entities documentation for accuracy/detail. Performs all other duties as requested by units Operations Lead and manager. Works under close supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job Functions: To provide the intern with a working/entry-level introduction to the agencys customer support teams interaction with executive staff, customers and visitors as well as to gain reinforcement of the need to successfully work within a dynamic work environment which values a team work ethic and the promotion of cultural diversity. Knowledge Skills Abilities: Experience in computer systems support work. Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, supplemented by courses in computer science, is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
