SUMMARY: The Mechanical Integrity Engineering group at Sulzer Pumps is looking for a student intern. The position is full time during the summer and is part time (20+ hrs/week) during the school year. Prepares/makes modifications to CAD and manual drawings as requested by Engineering, CSS coworkers and Sulzer Pumps customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Will work with Senior Engineers providing support on customer specific projects which will require the use of CAD, data base entry, engineering programming, administrative duties; including filing, scanning, etc. Assist in pump Engineering activities, including support to engineers, data preparation plus preparation of CAD drawings - Medusa and AutoCAD Inventor 3D Packages Reliability is required as the student becomes a working member of the group and is assigned specific group responsibilities. Duties will include: generation, work documentation and engineering drafting. Positive attitude and willing to take any task. QUALIFICATIONS: Someone going into their junior or senior year with an engineering degree, preferably electrical Sound computer skills required. Will use Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD 2D/3D, SigmaPlot, Visual Basic and other industry software. An interest in rotating machinery and manufacturing is beneficial.
