As a Kiva Intern, you will contribute your passion, drive, ideas and expertise to expanding our reach and impact while taking on immediate and significant responsibilities within your team. In addition to learning on the job, you'll partake in a variety of educational, social, and professional development workshops and events that will accelerate your professional growth while learning about Kiva and the non-profit, technology, and microfinance sectors. Kiva Internships are 6-month, full-time, stipended volunteer positions. This position is located in our San Francisco, CA office. Although Kiva Interns range in age and experience, a common theme among our participants is a "can do" attitude as well as a desire and willingness to dive in and get their hands dirty. Kiva is currently hiring for our July 15 - December 31, 2019 Internship Class Our team The Strategic Development & Partnerships team is responsible for meeting targets for Kiva's revenue - both loan volume and grants. The team works with individuals, foundations, family foundations, small businesses, and corporations that want to partner with Kiva. The team also applies for grants from foundations and government organizations. Your role As the Partnerships Intern, you will help to launch a partnership microsite and work to develop a partnership marketing program. To do this, you will conduct research on best practices, identify gaps in our strategy and propose improvements on education materials, effectively creating a plan to market this to prospective partners. As we scale and bring on more partners, we will need a more formalized approach to account and campaign management. You would create an onboarding and ongoing relationship management system that would identify what needs to happen at specific phases of the relationship (emails, educational webinars, forms - handoff process) as well as a recommendation on how to track these steps. You will develop and support on a partnership marketing plan that will bring in new corporate partners and new managed lending deposits to help reach $2M in new deposits. In addition, you will take on account management overflow and standardize campaign launch processes, improving and increasing our loan volume from managed lending. Primary Responsibilities * Assist with developing sales enablement and partnership marketing resources such as case studies, thought leadership articles, pitch decks, webinars etc. * Serve as the first point of contact for businesses and individuals interested in partnering with Kiva, vetting the opportunities * Improve operations and processes for partnership team, standardize data reporting, outreach, storage systems. * Manage ongoing campaigns with corporate partners, provide support for communication overflow and track deliverables of each account. * Develop partner communications plan and strategy, draft surveys and aggregate feedback for program improvements * Assist with executive mapping and account planning with partnerships managers Qualifications * 21 years of age by the start of training week * Able to commit full-time for 6-month term * Familiarity with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Salesforce, (Looker is a plus) * Experience writing short and long form promotional copies * Knowledge or experience with business to business marketing * Comfortable speaking to customers over email/phone * Strong project management skills Benefits: * Professional development workshops * Casual, dog-friendly office * Access to Kiva's network of Kiva Fellowship and Internship Alumni * Free snacks, drinks, and occasional donuts * Optional participation in Kiva social activities, including: * Athletic club teams * Movie and game nights * Happy hours * References gladly given for successful participants * A stipend of $1,000/month for the duration of the internship (disbursed on a monthly basis), to help offset living costs The weekly time commitment for a Kiva Internship is 5 days per week, from July 15th, 2019 - December 31st, 2019.
