DOCUMENTARY STUDIES INTERN Duke University, United States Updated: about 1 hour ago Location: Durham, NORTH CAROLINA Documentary Studies - Sub Job Description The 18-month position will be divided, roughly, into three segments, each intended to build upon those preceding it. First six months: Emerging documentary artists will work alongside CDS faculty, staff, and artists, exploring and developing their skills in audio, photography, writing, film, and/or other documentary mediums. Emerging documentary artists will participate in program activities (workshops, conferences, classes, trips, etc.) to further develop and encourage community connections and their voice in the arts. Second six months: While continuing to work alongside CDS faculty, staff, and artists, emerging documentary artists will plan and work on theirown documentary arts projects and interact with local and nationalmentors. Third six months: Emerging documentary artists will continue creating their portfolios, present their projects to the larger community, serve as mentors to incoming emerging documentary artists, and receive support as they plan for their next steps (within the documentary arts or otherwise).
