PT Marketing & Office Assistant/Internship Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation Organization Summary: The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation is a resource for local, breast cancer patients and their families at a time when they most need hope. Our purpose is to provide the quickest access to help with the most urgent emergency needs of local breast cancer patients and their families. Our programs help keep the families in their home, keep that home warm with the lights on, keep the children in their same schools, keep healthy food on the table for both the patient and the children and help the patient get to treatment through transportation assistance and childcare. (www.hopechest.com) Location: Twin Cities Metro Activity Area: Health and/or Disease Related Category: Administration Support Services Closing Date: May 10, 2019 Job Type: Part Time Salary: $15 per hour Hours: 20 hours per week, multi-day in office role Primary Duties: Responsibilities: The Foundation is busy planning for its largest annual fundraising event, Fillies Race for Hope taking place on Sunday June 2, 2019 at Canterbury Park. You will be responsible for marketing fulfillment activities associated with the event including creating and posting to social media, managing newsletters and email outreach to support ticket sales, communicate with sponsors, ticket holders, and volunteers pre and post event. You will also work with sponsors and the event manager to create onsite signage, coordinate with venue and sponsors on logistic and marketing details, and other support as needed including with set-up, day of event, tear down and post event activities. Additionally, you will support the daily operations of the foundation responding to incoming calls and emails, newsletter creation and distribution, managing communications with donors, ordering supplies, mail management, maintaining our third party event calendar and marketing support/fulfillment of those events. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Experience: THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE: * Excellent written skills to produce creative yet informative copy and messaging. Adept in proofreading, editing and communicating brand consistency. * Prior experience with various Social Media marketing platforms and tools, as well as creating and executing SM campaigns. * Prior experience working designers on creation of marketing materials - both printed and digital. * Database/Website skills: Experience with various website management programs, contact management systems and social media. * Ability to positively interact with a wide variety of people, provide direction to and receive direction from team members, volunteers, committee chairs, Board members, and the general public. * Proficiency in Word, Excel, calendar management and good organizational skills * Personal skills: You will excel in this position if you thrive on multi-tasking; demonstrate results for your efforts; proactively solve problems; double check the important details; and are committed to the great work the Hope Chest provides to those undergoing breast cancer treatment.
