Gridwise is a mobility startup creating solutions to improve the efficiency of on-demand rideshare fleets. As mobility is rapidly changing, Gridwise is aiming to improve the ecosystem through its data-driven solutions created to help human & autonomous rideshare drivers best know when and where to drive. We are seeking a motivated individual to help us capture this massive opportunity as a leading provider of on-demand mobility solutions. As a Software Engineering Intern at Gridwise, you will work with our Engineering team in the planning, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions that contribute directly to our product and internal operations. As a Software Engineering Intern at Gridwise, you will: * Develop frontend and/or backend software features & services in support of our product and operations * Deploy your solutions into cloud infrastructure and provide maintenance and improvements to your projects over time * Work directly with our engineers and CTO to ensure your projects meet requirements and contribute to the company's success * Gain exposure to our software development and operational practices, and experience an exciting and fast-paced startup culture Required Experience/Skills/Traits: * Pursuing a degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or have completed an equivalent online curriculum or bootcamp program * Solid foundation in computer science and programming fundamentals * Experience working with a variety of software languages and technologies * Familiarity with software deployment practices and cloud infrastructure * Passionate about entrepreneurship and the mobility industry Exceptional Candidates will have one or more of the following: * Comfortable with full-stack software development (ok if strengths lean toward FE or BE) * Proficient in front end JS frameworks like React/Redux or Angular * Proficient in web frameworks such as Django, Express, Rails, etc. * Proficient with cloud infrastructure and containerization This position is full-time and will be located at our office in Pittsburgh, PA.
