Come join our team during this exciting time of growth and opportunities! Summer Internship Interns will be responsible for providing their own transportation and housing for the summer. Interns are ineligible for employee benefits. Interns must have authorization to work in the US. Project Summary ultracurious Apply your biggest ideas in courageous ways The ideal candidate will have experience building and supporting analytical products & solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the commercial organization, and be a results-oriented self-starter with demonstrable hands-on success in advanced analytics and operations projects. This position will be responsible for supporting with business insights with minimal guidance & supervision by leveraging capabilities as an analytical problem-solver. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with and manage day-to-day project interactions, including the help with the Veeva Commercial Overhaul. Assess the Field team needs by conducting interviews with Sales Reps/ RDs, documentation and follow-up with Commercial Stakeholders to prioritize the tasks. Coordinate with Commercial IT on implementation of the identified top-priority tasks to the Commercial Veeva system. Help with the Field Training to train Field representatives on the enhancements to the Commercial Veeva Systems. Assist with the IC Admin and Ops and implement quality tests in the systems. Work closely with various stakeholders in Commercial Sales Operations and Field to gather various input requirements for systems, desired automated data flow for support on IC. Coordinate with IT, Sales Ops and other external vendors to support with the system and process implementation, testing and roll-out. Help Sales Ops Leadership and RDs with other ad-hoc analyses on IC Ops. Manage updating and finalizing the Tableau KPI and Field dashboards. Assess the current reporting needs of the Field and Corporate leaders, review and identify the gaps with the current Field and HQ reports and dashboards. Work with external vendors and internal Commercial team to refresh dashboard views to match current reports and future needs. Help with testing, roll-out and Field training on the final dashboards. Assess, refine, and further develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance at national and sub-national levels, and provide support on critical analyses of results for management reporting. Assist with Salesforce structure, Sizing and alignment activities and other advanced analysis support working closely with Business Planning and Other Commercial Stakeholders. Technical Requirements & Skills: Pursuing a Masters degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Business Analytics, Management, Data Science, Operations Research), with minimum of first year completed Enrolled as a full-time student with plans to return to school in fall term Available to work 40 hours/week during normal business hours Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong organizational skills Flexible; adapts work style to meet organization needs Meticulous attention to detail Strong ability to follow through with tasks Good verbal communication skills; Ability to write clearly and effectively Ability to exercise sound judgment, reasoning, and problem solving Capable of completing assigned responsibilities and keeping manager informed of work status Previous experience in Lifesciences or Pharma or Business Consulting is a plus Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Data warehouse systems Comfortable working in a fast paced organization Proven effectiveness in maintaining effective communication to all stakeholders Ability to understand the interdependencies of the work streams developed and to connect the insights across the different outcomes Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
