This position will be involved in various facets of development, event planning & implementation, interaction w/ alumni and building relationships. The person must be detail-oriented as s/he will assist with event logistics, research and data processing, coordinating social media, donor stewardship, print & digital communication, and administrative support. The coordinator will be using current business and development technologies including the use of a PC computer and various software applications such as Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and Raisers Edge (fundraising software.) The position is 24 hours a week with a negotiable work schedule during Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. 5 p.m. Responsibilities Alumni Events: Manage and coordinate logistics leading up to and day of event Update and implement PR plan and project timeline Create marketing content, with supervision Grand Reunion serve as liaison to young alumni classes Assist with other event duties, as needed Fundraising: Accurately aggregate data for department and volunteer fundraisers Serve as advisor for student philanthropy Assist with other campaigns, as needed Raisers Edge (RE): Identify, research and/or enter relevant data info into RE Enter articles & class notes from Dragon Magazine into constituent records Assist with other data entry projects, as needed Social Media: Identify and research post-worthy alumni news and updates to share across platforms Consider and modify posts for each platform Other administrative duties, as needed, including: Raisers Edge data entry Thank you donor calls Qualifications: Applicant must be at least 21 years of age Bachelors degree or working towards one Excellent verbal and communication skills Proactive, a critical thinker, and independent Work well in a team environment Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and social/networking media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) preferred.
