Component Engineer Intern L3 Technologies - Millersville, MD3.8 1 day agoFull-timeEstimated: $64,000 - $86,000 a year Apply Now Skills * Driver's License * FPGA Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Electrical Systems Group Lead, work with a mentoring Senior or Staff Electrical Engineer to support design and test of state-of-the-art electrical systems used in underwater sonar and oil exploration equipment. The work pertains primarily to component obsolescence in electronic circuits. Major activities include obsolescence management of designs, recommendations for design upgrades, failure analysis, and trend analysis. Essential Functions: Develop and edit circuit schematics with OrCad development tools and perform circuit simulation with PSPICE software. Implement digital telemetry interfaces to A/D convertors and analog sensors. Conduct tests on circuit card and system assemblies following established test procedures. Use electrical engineer tools, including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers and Logic Analyzers to test and debug circuit card assemblies. Qualifications Education and Experience: Current enrollment in an Electrical or Computer Engineering program at an accredited university. Course work in digital circuit design and basic programming required. Advanced course work in FPGA and microprocessor programming preferred. Certificates and Licenses Required: U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain US clearance. Valid state drivers license.
