Intellectual Property Intern General Electric - Evendale, OH4.1 1 day agoFull-timeEstimated: $40,000 - $57,000 a year Apply Now Education * Bachelor's Degree Skills * Leadership Experience Essential Responsibilities: This individual will be a member of the Aviation Intellectual Propertys Patent Portfolio Management team to develop tools/methodology to analyze data across the organization. This individual will work with a cross functional team whose core members are comprised of engineering, legal and IP professionals. Specific projects may include identifying and tagging patents within specific areas of the portfolio, reviewing/summarizing GE Aviation applications/patents, gathering information on current status of pending applications, preparing presentation materials on patent portfolio, reviewing/summarizing non-GE references/patents, and data collection and summary to support foreign filing planning. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or Law Available for a 20+ hour/week part-time co-op or summer internship for 6-12 months Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (without rounding) Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program Completed two full years at an accredited college or university Willing and available to work on site in Evendale, Ohio. Reliable transportation Desired Characteristics: Ideal Candidate has an interest in Intellectual Property, specifically patent procurement. Proven record of success and demonstrated leadership ability. Capability to work independently while simultaneously work with and influence a cross functional peers or work groups. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an analytic point of view.
