This job brought to you by America's Job Exchange Type: Full Time Location : Portland, Oregon Job Description: OVERVIEW AI Cloud Data Engineering Internship Portland, OR or Seattle, WA This internship is scheduled to begin June 2019 RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS The CAIO Cloud Data Engineering team is responsible for providing the technological platform for the secure and robust ingest, transformation and disbursement of sensitive (health) data. It is also responsible for machine learning based applications and services such as record linkage, OCR, data deidentification etc. We are focused on exploring various AWS Services for data transformation and machine learning such as Glue, SageMaker etc. At Cambia, our values are fundamental to achieving our Cause of transforming the health care industry. The AI Cloud Data Engineering Intern will be an integral member of the team performing the following duties: * Supports the business strategic objectives and Artificial Intelligence Cloud team goals: * Ensuring the quality and accuracy of data * Providing data to internal teams * Develops efficient and maintainable program code * Develops efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving simple business problems * Provides consulting support for Engineering and Business partners by researching, identifying and resolving technical programming problems * Meets established deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. * Develops simple programs and systems in support of business processes and objectives * Prepares system test plans, test criteria, and test data * Develops innovative solutions to problems * Understands and participates in deliverables required by approved Development Lifecycles. * Prepares program, system, operational and User documentation * Performs testing and documents the results * Expected deliverables include but are not limited to requirement analysis, system analysis, system design, data models, program design, source code development, test case development, testing, and documentation Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities: * Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field * Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals. * Meticulous attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced and changing environment * Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to deadlines * An interest in the intersection of technology and healthcare * Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States This position is being posted as a pay level 11 and 14.
