We teach computer science and robotics, we equip young minds with the skills to think critically, solve problems logically and imagine endless possibilities. We are moving past old school teaching methods and are committed to offering the best learning experience for kids, teenagers and even adults. Serving as an educational incubator, we allow students the opportunity to design and develop their best ideas into viable solutions; mentoring and providing funding to bring ideas to the market. Education: Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering degree or related field preferred. Skills: This person is flexible and interested in taking on new projects and tasks as necessary. This position requires learning new programming languages and IT concepts on the spot. * Teach computer and programming concepts to students ranging from 312 grades * Provide weekly reports about students progress in the class * Guide students through the projects in the lab * Keep up-to-date with new IT trends and programming languages * Attend periodic meetings with the Director and Content Developers * Provide meaningful feedback about class material and student dynamics in the classroom Requirements: 1-3 years of experience programming in Java or similar Object-Oriented language OR at least 1-2 years of teaching experience in an AACSB or ABET accredited College. Knowledgeable about computer history and current trends in the industry preferred. * General knowledge of Agile methodologies * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team * Good written and oral communication skills * Flexibility to work during early evenings and weekend hours * Experience programming in Java and Python * Knowledge of C++ a plus * Proficient in HTML, CSS and Javascript * Previous experience using Game Maker and Unity is desirable * Ability to work with children ranging from Elementary to High School Job Type: Part-time Job Type: Part-time Salary: $9.00 to $13.00 /hour Overtime often available: * No
