The school psychologist intern will also provide consultation to teachers and counseling of special education students under the supervision of supervising psychologist. EDUCATION: Must meet the requirements for candidacy for Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Psychology from an accredited institution. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Meet requirements for a psychologist internship through an accredited institution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer cognitive, adaptive, social-emotional, visual motor, auditory and academic tests. Observe and conduct alternative assessments, complete and interpret the results in writing. Participate and chair IEP meetings. Participate in SST meetings. Conduct three-year evaluations, write reports, and conduct the IEP meetings. Observe students in a variety of settings. Consult with teachers, administrators, parents and community resources regarding student in special education as well as student in regular education. Observe and conduct a functional behavior assessment or other behavior intervention. Participate in a school program, such as crisis intervention team, develop 504 accommodations, and refer to outside agencies. WORK YEAR: Not to exceed 184 days.
