This job brought to you by America's Job Exchange Type: Full Time Location : Hopkinton, Massachusetts Job Description: Position: Social Media Intern BE: Corporate Communications (Legal) Reports to: Global Social Business Leader Location: Hopkinton/Waltham, MA Position Overview PerkinElmer, a forward-thinking, fast paced company on a mission to innovate for a healthier world is looking to hire a Social Media Intern with a strong understanding of social media and communications. The Social Media Intern will be part of the Corporate Communications team and is responsible for helping drive social media initiatives through writing, posting, analytics and research. This role will require strong writing and analytical skills and advanced knowledge of social media channels and best practices. This position will liaise with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues to support our program while ensuring the global channels are following corporate social media guidelines and procedures. Key Responsibilities - Develop content for a variety of global social media channels - Interact and collaborate with fellow employees in a positive, proactive, and productive manner to provide counsel on content promotion, edit content for brand voice in social, and help write content when needed - Work with legal and regulatory teams when necessary to ensure content is compliant - Reconcile ads accounts each month - Support new initiatives, such as quizzes, polls, campaigns, A/B testing - Monitor engagement on corporate social media channels - Research content in the news through our listening tool to find timely and relevant curated content that aligns with our social media content strategy - Use listening technology to spot trends, crises and KOL s Education and Experience Requirements - Passion for social media - Working towards a degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, or similar - Able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders - Strong writing ability - Adept at social media analytics - Up-to-date on social media best practices - Excellent project/time management skills and the ability to work juggle multiple tasks and priorities as well as strong follow-through - Solid team player, proactive, positive attitude - Solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills required PerkinElmer is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
