This includes carrying out assigned tasks that maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulatory statutes and permit obligations of the company. State St., Hartford, WI 53027 Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week Duration 2019 (summer/fall) Hourly Pay $15.00/hour Job Responsibilities Safety Work with Safety and Production Managers to complete 5S audits and safety walks. Participate in the development and implementation of department specific safety goals and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. Update safety programs and documentation. Be able to analyze a situation and propose the purchase of standard manufactured safety devices. Actively participate in employee safety committee meetings, risk assessments, and activities to promote and increase employee engagement in Broan's safety program. Participate in accident investigation techniques through the review of first aid, employee, and supervisor accident investigations and reports. Review shall include follow-up activities with production managers/supervisors to ensure reports are properly completed and that potential corrective measures are thoroughly reviewed and implemented when/where appropriate. Conduct safety training in accordance with the Broan training matrix. Environmental Perform environmental inspections as assigned. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Working towards EHS or other technical related degree: Junior or Senior status of Bachelor's degree program or equivalent. Coursework in ergonomic human factors, environmental management, manufacturing, OSHA/regulations, six sigma or lean tools, and/or chemical management Experience in lockout/tag out programs, machine guarding, industrial hygiene, confined space work, powered industrial trucks, and project management Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint including Share Point. Previous experience in an EHS organization is preferred. Good presentation, speaking, organizational, and problem solving skills. Excellent written communication skills and ability to document technical information in an easy to understand and straightforward manner Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to accomplish training and attend Partner with teammates, suppliers, and customers (both internal and external) successfully, working closely with others in a team environment.
