We publish LatinitasMagazine.org, the first bilingual magazine, and deliver after-school Club Latinitas programs, summer camps, workshops, and chica conferences for girls ages 9 - 18. If you are interested in video production, photography and editing, and want to develop your skills, want to make a difference and get published, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. We offer meaningful and fulfilling experience for several interests and academic backgrounds. This position is recommended for students with a major in Journalism, Radio, Film, Television, English, Communications or Design. Content production interns will work directly with all full-time staff for project needs. This position will require weekly check-ins with the Volunteer Coordinator to review progress of assigned projects and will also require a mid and end of semester evaluation. Duties include: * Evaluate video editing needs for the organization * Actively participate at Latinitas events throughout the semester to capture footage and interview attendees. * Edit video footage from enrichment programs including workshops, camps and conferences, and film interviews of special guests or career presenters * Engage with our social media team to evaluate content needs (photographs, b-roll, video). * Upload videos onto Google Drive, external drives, and YouTube * Work directly with our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule interviews with Latinitas Alumni Intern Requirements: * The ideal intern will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Intern should be enthusiastic, organized, resourceful, and creative. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work independently and is willing to take advantage of this opportunity to develop their filming, editing, and sound checking skills. * Interns must demonstrate proficiency with Google Drive, YouTube, video editing (with your preferred software), lighting, and sound. Website experience and photography is a plus. Training will be given as necessary. Bilingual students are encouraged to apply.
