Imagine New Horizons Engineering problems in Automotive, Aerospace, Life Sciences and many other industries are inherently multi-physics and multi-scale in nature. To optimally design the next generation of innovative products it is imperative that the interplay of the various physics and scales are considered. Dassault Systmes SIMULIA brand is committed to providing an intuitive simulation environment to capture such complex multi-physics behavior for efficient and innovative product designs. As an intern, you will be part of the cross-disciplinary R&D project team building the multi-physics integration environment. You will gain hands-on experience with SIMULIA's portfolio of products (e.g. Abaqus, CST, XFlow, etc.) to solve various physics, large scale code base involving multiple coding languages, and the development process of a commercial simulation software. This is a full time paid summer internship from May through August 2019 in the Dassault Systmes Simulia Corp office located at 1301 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919. Do you have dreams? Work with the R&D team responsible for developing the environment to couple various physics, like Electromagnetics, Fluids, Structures, etc. Building automated tests Working with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to troubleshoot and resolve issues Developing front and back end software components using Javascript, Java, C++. Your Challenges ahead Working with a cross functional project team focused on timely delivery of software with high quality Rapidly grasping of the underlying engineering problems being addressed Working in an existing complex code base with multiple languages Your Key Success Factors Actively enrolled in a Master's program in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science for the duration of the internship Maintaining a minimum GPA 3.0 Working onsite at the Dassault Systmes Simulia Corp office located in Johnston, RI. Demonstrating well-developed coding skills in programming languages like, JavaScript, Java, C++ Possessing an understanding of scientific simulation techniques, like, FEM, CFD. Possessing strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
