We are looking for a data science intern to analyze multi-channel, multi-company databases and conduct statistical analyses to identify volatility, trends, and predictors of KPIs. Candidates must be an advanced user of statistical software, have previous experience analyzing survey and social media data, and interested in effective data communication to non-technical audiences. This would be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or current postgraduate student who wants to learn how to translate his/her academic training to real world business contexts outside the classroom. Responsibilities: Process, consolidate, and prepare data frames for analyses Execute advanced statistical analyses, conduct robustness analyses, and identify key findings Prepare and create presentations that summarize key findings and actionable insights to non-technical audiences Basic Qualifications: College graduate with degrees in business, marketing, analytics, or quantitative social science (political science, economics, psychology, sociology), or students currently pursuing postgraduate degrees in the same fields Extensive experience working in scripting environment of statistical software; Stata, R and/or SPSS Experience working with survey and third-party data in social science, marketing, business, or other research domains Have training and experience across different statistical methodologies such as linear regression, discrete choice model, cross-sectional time series modeling, supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, and/or network analyses Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Quick learner who works well both independently and as part of a larger team Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-past environment Superior verbal and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint About our Internship Program: The duration of the internship (part time or full time) is a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months Interns are paid $13.00 per hour
