Tentative duration will be: 5/13/19 through 8/31/19 Normal work hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position will effectively manage the front desk of HR by answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors, processing paperwork, issuing badges, setting up appointments and notifying team members of appointments. This temporary position may be responsible for data entry into HR/Employee Health/Workers Comp database while keeping information confidential. The temporary HR Assistant performs other HR Department clerical/support functions as assigned or requested. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as department receptionist to greet visitors to the department in a friendly, professional manner and answer routine questions. Answers the department telephone in a professional manner, route calls to others and relays messages accurately. Types letters, memos, reports and spreadsheets accurately in business format using Microsoft Office software. Creates new or replacement identification badges as needed. May order and maintain office supplies and equipment as needed; weekly visual inspection of office supply cabinet. Completes general filing as assigned. Complete photo copy projects, mailings or other ad hoc projects as assigned. Assists with conducting research and compiling a variety or reports and statistical information as requested. Performs reference checks in support of the hiring process, as needed. Processes of tuition reimbursement requests and tracks payment and receipt of required documentation. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Level of Education Minimum Required: High School Diploma Preferred: Associate's Degree in business or human resources or other related discipline Level of Experience Minimum Required: 6 months to 1 year of clerical experience. Experience with MS Office products, computer databases, general office equipment, and experience with customer services.
