Apparel Design Internship Gear For Sports, A Hanesbrands Inc. Company - Kansas City, MO3.2 3 hours agoFull-time$15 an hour Apply Now Skills * CAD Summary: Position is responsible for the execution of specific tasks as designated by the Director of Design and Sr. Technical Manager as needed. This position is learning & task oriented. The goal is to become well versed in all aspects of creative & technical design. Essential Duties * Color Development - work with the Creative Design Team on color projects. * Fabric Development - work Creative Design Team on the maintaining & filing of Fabrications via files or library. * Style Development - work via the Creative Design Team on Style Projects. * Trim Development - work via the Creative Design Team on Trim Projects. * Accountable to hit deadlines as defined by the Director of Design and Sr. Technical Manager. * Take notes & learn at the weekly meetings. * Work with tech team to obtain familiarity w/ color issues, log, track and file as needed under the Sr. Technical Designer Managers supervision. * Provide "customer service" as needed to the Teams we interface with on a daily basis: Brand Management / Sourcing / Country Manager. * Communicate via e-mail on a daily basis both internally & externally as designated by the Director of Design and Sr. Technical Design Manager. * Sit in at Fit Sessions & Line Review as a learning experience. Help Tech team prepare for fit seasons and sit in at Fit Sessions & Line Reviews as a learning experience. * Measure garments & log results under the supervision of technical team. * Update tech packs under the supervision of the Technical Team. * Clean / organize / etc. as needed Minimum Qualifications * Student in an apparel design program at the sophomore level or above or a newly graduated student from an apparel design program * Experience with CAD programs preferred To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans Only applicants requiring reasonable accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process should contact us directly: 913-693-3200 Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Salary: $15.00 /hour
